ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TRANSPORTATIONOur official entry points are VAASA Airport and SEINÄJOKI train station.
A bus/car transport for arriving and departing participants will be arranged from/to Vaasa international airport or Seinäjoki train station to/from Kuortane according to the arrival and departure schedules received by 27th of July 2024 at the latest. ARRIVING BY PLANE AT VAASA AIRPORT (110 km/1,5 hours from Kuortane) There are daily flights to Vaasa from Helsinki (Finnair) and Stockholm (SAS). Flight time is about 1 hour. Website of the Vaasa airport: https://www.finavia.fi/en/airports/vaasa ARRIVING BY TRAIN AT SEINÄJOKI TRAIN STATION (40 km/30 minutes from Kuortane) There are many train connections from Helsinki airport to Seinäjoki each day. Starting from Helsinki airport, you must change train in Tikkurila (only 8 minutes from the airport). Travel time between the airport and Seinäjoki is approximately 2,5 - 3 hours. More information on trains from Helsinki Airport to Seinäjoki can be found at: https://www.vr.fi/en. You can also buy tickets online. In case of a group of at least 10 passengers, it is recommendable to contact VR group sales: https://www.vr.fi/cs/vr/en/group-tickets By request we can organize a pick ups also from Tampere Airport (appr. 170 km/2 hours by bus) and Helsinki Airport (appr. 360 km/5 hours by bus). However, the cost must then be covered by the participants themselves. RETURN TRANSPORTATION ON 31st of AUGUST Please check and confirm your return transportation schedule at the Event Office. The confirmation must be made at least 24 hours before the departure day. |

INTERNAL TRANSPORTATION
At the Athletes' Village everything is within walking distance (accommodation, restaurants, gyms etc.).
SHUTTLE TRANSPORT KUORTANE – RUUHIKOSKI - KUORTANE
The LOC will arrange all official transportation to the competition site (Ruuhikoski) during the event. There is a dedicated drop off / pickup spot in front of the hotel building (no. 24 on the Area Map of Kuortane) in Kuortane and in front of the club house in Ruuhikoski Golf.
Athletes should use the buses assigned to them in accordance with the relevant transport schedule. The distribution is based upon start times. If a player wants to get an earlier bus than he/she is assigned to, it is possible, but priority will be given to player that need to get to competition venue for their official tee times.
The team leaders are asked to inform the Event Office in the previous evening by 20.00 (08.00 pm) , if some of their players want to take an earlier bus next day.
Athletes & officials must show their accreditation cards upon boarding.
Please be sure that you are waiting the bus at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time in order to have time to pack all the golf equipment in the bus.
